        From an interview posed in the emulator-forum awhile back:

The problem here is that there are no standards.  Even on a single platform,
there are no IR standards.  For instance, how does one send and receive IR
data on a Windows box?  I don't know.  AFAICT, each 3rd party IR pod comes
with a different driver.

A 3rd party developer has been hacking on a version of Poser that communicates
between two instances via a sockets connection.  He's indicated some success
with it, but I haven't seen the result yet.

        That is not to say it can't be done, but there is no specific
emulation layer to handle tx/rx of OBEX on POSE that I've seen. Where did you
see Keith mention this was possible?
