Anybody heard of Novalis Shaped Beam Surgery? It is a type of sterotatic radiotherapy. Different from CyperKnife or Gamma Knife, as the beam can be shaped to the contours of the tumor. I'm considering this for my pit adnoma (which secrets prolactin) as my tumor is thought to be in the cavernous sinus as well. I will be having a Novalis protocal MRI on 1/16 to get a better look. Minnie, any suggestions of how to search Medline for info on this procedure? I looked and didn't come up with much, still an amature at Medline searches >g< Thanks for any insights. Best, Maureen |
