after a regrowth in 99 i had to have radiation. in spite of new methods/prodedures optical nerves are in the way of the beam. blindness is a possibility but very very low. also harmone problems can be a long term problem. my radiation was in 2000. my thyroid & adrenal functions are going down. meds are being increased to compensate. i knew these risk going in. but, it was either this or let the tumor grow back & head back to the o.r. for a 3rd surgery. i made my decesion. what would be yours. regards: gary |
