I had the transphenoidal surgery because that was what my surgeon new how to do.  If I should ever have to do it again I will travel to find one of the artists that do the endoscopic endonasal surgery.  The recovery is faster and they seem to be able to successfully remove all the tumor more often.   I can't give you a percentage but my perception is that only a small minority of the folks posting here have had to have second surgery.   Hope this helps, Daryl View other groups in this category.
