<HTML>The money I spent to fly to see Dr. Ludlam was worth every cent.   He is the

best I have ever met and the most knowledgeable.   I dont' think you will regret the
time and money to see him.  He is brilliant.

Gogy, I have a 6mmx6mm and possibly a 1mmx1mm prolactinoma.  My prolactin runs about 65 without meds(so far I have only been off meds for 7 months).  I haven't had a scan in 18months which I come to find out is not a good thing.  I have lost faith in my doctor and going to OHSU in March.  I had Kaiser years ago, never for this and I know they are immpossile to deal with.  Like I did I am sure you will learn a lot from everyone on here just by reading the boards.  I know I did.  I think you should educate yourself as much as possible and find a doctor who will answer all of your questions and get you the care you feel you need.  Believe me, it will cost me A LOT to go to Oregon and see this specialist but I feel it is necassary.  I took parlodel for 2 yrs and quit because of the side effects.  I am glad to hear your levels went so low with the dostinex.  That is what Dr. Ludlam at OHSU thinks I need.  With the parlodel I only got down to 12 and never lower.  I had horrible headaches on the parlodel but we are all different and yours could easily be causing you pain.   I am curious to see what others think but from I read and the questions Dr. Ludlam asked me and signs he told me to watch for I am wondering if they have ever tested you for cushings???   I haven't had a weight issue yet (knock on wood).....
