Hello Minnie!
Thanks for the information as always!!! I am glad to know about the spironolactone and will let this doctor know about my taking it that I am to meet next week. I have printed your message so I can remember the name of the other drugs you mentioned that are one's to help eliminate the facial hair problem. I do thank Meri, MJ, Keri and (anyone else I failed to mention) so much for their information and to learn more about the hashimoto's thyroidis problems.
I am to have a discussion with Dr. Ludlam next week about my situation. I now have the copies of the most recent stimulation test results that was done 1/28/04 so I can also talk to him about that outcome and the most recent outcome of my blood test results. In addition, I had to have a ultrasound and CAT scan again because of ongoing cysts on my liver and kidneys that were found back in 2000 and have been monitored every year. All remain stable except there is an additional one (the size of a dime) that has shown up on my left kidney. That doctor didn't seem too concerned and told me to certainly contact him sooner than a year if I were to have bleeding and pain. He said there is some likelihood that the cyst could burst and bleed. In addition, I composed a letter and talked with my endocrinologists office this week asking them if the doctor would read the MRI's since he had requested to do that but I did not have them the last time I saw him since Mayo Clinic still had them prior to my deviated septum surgery.. I asked them if he would show my husband & I the empty sella syndrome on the MRI since no other doctor has yet done that. I plan to call his office on Monday since his nurse told me to bring them in and he would review them and then decide if he needed to go over anything. My husband took my letter and the MRI's into his staff on Friday. His nurse and the doctor wasn't in at that time.
Well that about tells the story...hope you Minnie, are doing okay!
Thanks so much!
Marty
