Hi Meri and Jean!!

This information about polycythemia vera is amazing! I haven't read it
all but want to ask you both about the weakness you describe...I have
been experiencing that for sometime....and I get so weak I feel like I
can't do another thing. In fact, I have to stop and rest, otherwise I
just can't continue doing a thing. It's like someone took every ounce
of energy out of me for a period of time. It doesn't happen daily but
when it does....it is a bit scarey!!! I've had that happen over and
over. I believe I will take this article to Dr. Ludlam and ask him if
they can't determine anything to cause that weakness I've just
described, I will show this to him. I would like to hear back more on
exactly how you feel.. I will leave this Sunday for Portland and my
testing, etc. starts on Monday. I hope to be coming home on May 8th,
but....depending upon what they determine I may extend the length of
time it if I have to, other than making multiple trips up there and
back. Obviously, I won't be able to be on the chat Monday night! So
please tell everyone "hi" for me. I got on the chat late last Monday
night and unfortunately most everyone was off then....I had forgotten
it. (Oh, this short term memory thing drives me nuts!! ) I want so
much to get this health improved.

I may not be able to answer any more emails until my return on the 9th
or 10th after I've rested up from the trip.

All the best to everyone!
Marty
