Well, for prolactinomas, the growth can be pretty dramatic, but I haven't heard such reduction with other kinds of pituitary tumors.
 
My neuroopthamologist is a dream... but I have to giggle, because he has to get the neuroradiologist to look at my scans with him and interpret. This helps him understand my tests results with him, and what the scans say.
 
I guess my point is leave the optic issues to the eye doctor, and leave the endocrine issues to the endocrinologist, ditto with the neurosurgeon.
 
I know the doctor means well, but the published data just doesn't support it with acromegaly.
