Chris,

I'm not really sure if strips for a pool would be the same.  It's an interesting thought. Any ideas are welcomed, it may be low tech and not usable but the suggestion is appreciated.
I am going to call my pharmacy and see if they sell strips OTC  for testing the pH of urine.  I'm not sure about the pool strips.  A persons urine pH would be affected by the electrolytes excreted in it so not sure if the other strips would calculate those factors.  I read an article that also suggested testing saliva pH which I found interesting because I have so many mouth symptoms.

I'm glad things are going well with your son, Ogy. I've been reading all the updates on him and was so glad you found help for him.  Though I haven't posted to you as I don't really have much info on his situation I have been thinking and praying for him.

Glad you found the forum.  I've found many great people that have gotten me through the last two years.

Thanks for the suggestion,

Lisa
