Minnie,
I just read this, and thank goodness you weren't hurt.  I had a close call about five years ago.  I was on my way to work and it was winter and pouring rain.  I was lucky I was going slower than ususal because of the rain.  I turned a bend in the highway and there's a car right in my path stopped heading across the highway.

I braked thinking it was just rain but it was what they call "black ice".  I swerved and went sideways and luckily I hit the wall on the outer side of the highway and my bumper just slid on it long enough to slow me down and stop my car.

The cartoon was really funny  yet  reminded me of how my family refuses to let me give up, they don't let me "fall". My mother insists I watch things that make me laugh and I really let it go in one ear and out the other for a long time.   I totally started believing in laughter as a treatment about three years ago.

My husband and I went on a nice vacation in St. Simons Island, Georgia.  It was partially ruined because unbeknownst to me I think I was starting with some symptoms of my illness that would rear it's ugly head a year later.

I was so hot I thought I'd combust. We left GA and went to FL to see some old friends and I couldn't go to dinner with them because I felt awful.  So there I was alone in this hotel room feeling sorry for myself and I remembered what my mother kept telling me about laughing so I rented "Miss Congeniality" on the hotel TV and ended up all alone in this hotel room laughing out loud.  It changed my mood so much.

So thanks for the cartoon and the reminder that when we lose hope there are those helping us to not "fall".
