<HTML>Wow.  That's insane.  With a prolactinoma, having an endocrinologist is even more important that having a neurosurgeon.  (Aside from having surgery of course.) You need to find out if your insurance requires a referral (most do) and if your doctor won't refer you, find a new doctor who will.  You NEED to see an endocrinologist.  Because there really is a lot more that can be done to help you.  Different medication, radiation, gamma knife, etc. etc.  But mainly, with a prolactinoma, medication really can make a difference, and there is more out there than bromocriptine.
