Jean,
Thanks so much for writing.  I'm getting more and more confused about this swelling.
What I find interesting is you have acromegaly and had the swelling.  The reason I find this so interesting is because along with the puffiness around my temple area
the right side of my head in the area of the cheekbone and above is bigger than the left side.

The doctors think I'm obsessed with looking at myself I think. But, I know that my head has enlarged in that one area besides the swelling over the temple area.  It seems to be getting worse but, the only catch is my GH level was 0.1 (nl 10 or less)and my IGF-1 runs low so it doesn't jive with acromegaly but that seems to be what is happening.

I know it sounds strange but I've looked at this face for 52 years and I know my face is now asymmetrical (not including the swelling) iand it wasn't as of a year or so ago.  So there's something going on.

So the doctors didn't think the archnoid cyst had anything to do with the swelling?    I can't for the life of me remember who it was I talked to, but they couldn't find a tumor on her pituitary either.  Maybe someone else will remember this person,  I feel so bad I can't remember who it was but, I think if my memory serves me right that they actually found the tumor by doing the Petral Sinus Sampling procedure.

I wish so much I could remember who this was and if this was in fact the test they did but I think I'm right.  I think her tumor was in a posterior or in back of the gland and the MRI's didn't pick it up.  Anyway it doesn't help much if I can't remember who it was who told me this. We talked for a while but when I moved and changed computers I lost a lot of my emails from the past so have lost touch with a lot of people.

Anyway thanks again for telling me your story.  Hope you're doing well now.
