Hi Chasity, I just wanted you to know that I had the same experience after consulting over a dozen specialists. Each one had a different opinion-what it was, whether it was secreting excess hormones, if it was growing, etc. I have received over a dozen different opinions to date. I was told anything from a rathke's cleft cyst, adenoma, or craniopharyngioma to an artifact on my carotid artery. I was told it was growing fast, stable, and not growing @ all. I was told it was a different size by all. I was told it is secreting excess hormones; others think it is non-functioning. My point is that every doctor has a different opinion. If I saw a dozen more specialists, I would probably get a dozen more different opinions. You just need to find a knowledgable and experienced doctor that you trust with your care. If you are located in Pittsburgh, Dr. Jho is a very well-known neurosurgeon specializing in endoscopic transsphenoidal (minimally invasive) surgery. I never consulted Dr. Jho, but I have seen his clinic at Allegheny Hospital in Pitts: Take care. I hope you find your diagnosis and treatment soon. You're in my prayers. Meri |
