Jill, I agree with Keri, if the tumor is causing mass effect on your optic nerve, you need to see a neuro-ophthalmologist and have tests done including a field vision exam. Have you seen a neuro-ophth? You cannot depend solely on the neurosurgeon, he is not specialized in eye disease. I would encourage you to see a neuro-ophthalmologist to determine if you have any damage to your optic nerve. They may recommend surgery straight-out to remove the pressure from your optic nerve.
