Hi Huggi! Love your name! ![]() You had/have a very large tumor. You have been through alot with the crainiotomy, radiation and the drugs.![]() You know, I think alot of us at some point went to the doctor with non-specific symptoms. I know I did. About 8 years ago, I went with heart palpitations and blood pressure spikes that came out of nowhere. I got a pat on the head and a rx for xanax! lol. When I had headaches - the neuro told me it must have been when I fell of the motorbike 15 years ago... yeah... see ya! Glad your doctor was safe than sorry when they did finally do the MRI. It scares me that your tumor got so large! Yeah... tough guy. But you know, you tried... but you can't dx pituitary disease by looking at someone. I mean... I am a real looker - whoo hoo... giggle (not), and I tell you, I've been thrown out of so many doctors offices. I have Cushings and don't look it. Per those guys.. I just needed to cut down on the ice-cream and the beer... etc... But, I too, began to doubt myself, and when I saw my last doctor about 5 years ago, I decided to NOT tell him about what was really going on, as I had decided I really was a nut. Turns out, he was the question asking kind, and he was hip to pituitary disease. ![]() Point is... you have to be your own advocate and you have to approach issues in a frame of mind that there are no second chances, that this is your life. It is a tough challenge to be nice about it at the same time too. I mean, the doc that can make a difference in your life has to be willing to do so. Persistence and education and being able to speak up is really important.![]() Your tumor is still pretty large for having your surgeries, but I am glad that it is responding to medication. Your doctor will need to keep a close eye on you. If you do need surgery again in the future, we patients can offer you prayers, support, and encouragement. Work and consult with the best doctors you can. Hugs! Minnie |
