Gary-4200, Thanks for all your advice, what is the big advantage of the gamma knife procedure. Is it effective? My family doctor said that my tumor was 2 cm "about an inch" and doesn't appear to be mixed in with other areas of my brain. Would that make me a canidate or rule me out. Because my tumor is stimulating my thyroid and causing me many symptoms, which have been misdiagnosed for at least two years, she recomended having it removed since I am a young person. Also, what did you mean in regards to my life being changed. Did you mean in regards to my appreciation for life, or something else? My doctor said that if the tumor is removed properly that my previous symptoms would go away. |
