Gloria, thank you for your reply. This dizziness is aweful. I asked the surgeon that I'm going to if it was because of Acromegaly & he said he no- yet I've read of people liek you that say it went away after surgery. I'm glad to see you're doing well. Yeah, I try to think about what life would be like feeling normal and having normal strength again. I went from beign a very active, hard working (Logging, painting, carpentry- worked many hours a day 10-12 most days) to being not able to shovel the walkway & suffering for it the next day or 2. It's been 14 years like this. (The first few years I had 'spells' where I'd crash hard and feel aweful- then it just gradually got to the point where i feel like that all the time) I missed out on most of my life- I started getting sick with Crohn's disease when I was 7- then by the time I was 17- it was so bad it caused me to go into peritinitus in the hospital- 17 years old and only weighed 87 pounds! After the surgeries for that, I grew 5 inches, gained 60 lbs. that year, and felt great for 10 years. Then wham- Acromegaly. Now I can't even remember what it feels like to feel good. I feel like a 90 year old in a 40 year old body- seriously. Too young to feel this aweful; I wish you well and pray that your remission continues for many many years. My surgery is comming right up so hopefully I'll be able to write more positively soon :) |
