A different way to take Parlodel/bromocriptine

I have also heard of the vaginal option.  Seriously considered it, but changed to Dostinex.  To use Kerbug's word, bromocriptine gave me the serious ickies.  Often felt like passing out, including a couple of times during professional presentations sufficient for me to have to leave the podium.  Talk about embarrassing!!

I took the nasty stuff for seven years, with dose for last 4 years or so of 10 mg/day.  At that dose, taking all before bed was not an option, because it has to be spread out during the course of the day.  I took with LARGE meals, and learned to stay very well hydrated.  If I slipped on either one of those, nasal passages would swell shut for 3-5 hours after dosage.  There was really nothing that ever eliminated the hypotension, although hydration was key in minimizing this.

I know that dostinex has caused similar ickies for lots of folks here (headaches and fatigue keep popping up).  I have fingers crossed, knoking on wood, taking three turns round a four-leaf clover: so far so good for me on that one.

Hope things are better for you now, OSUBuck (from UMWolverine -- but don't tell anyone!!)
