My 40 something endo who is the president-elect of the ISCD did a bone density test on my daughter when she was 16 - she is 20 now. She had fallen and had hurt her back and when they did the x-ray, they said her bones weren't showing up well on the x-rays. Turns out, she had osteopenia. She was "starving" herself of milk products to keep thin. I know.. I know... I had been on her... drink your milk! The kid was 5'10 and a size 5!

Anywhoo, he actually said to split up the calcium dosage in threes, as the body can only absorb only about 600mgs calcium at a time. She got a basket and filled it with different flavors of the calcium chews and stuck them in her room. I he case though, she only need to take them in the morning and at night.

Today, almost 20, she is a nut when it comes to her health. She is a size 7-8 now, a beautiful young woman.  I am really proud of her.
