Hello all, Here I am again probably asking the same questions. I have my Radiology appt. tomorrow and am scared and nervous. I have really no reason to be, but I keep thinking that the Doc is going to go gung ho and just totally set me up for Gamma radiation. I have recently had strong feelings about going ahead with another pit surgery, but just don't know what to do. I totally trust my surgeon, but everything I have read here has made me so unsure about where I am going to end up with this. When I saw my surgeon for the first time a few weeks ago after finding out my tumor had come back, he said we could do surgery and then radiation or just radiation. He talked to the gamma radiologist and got the word that it would be safe to have that done, but I am really not so sure. In chat, I was told to get a second opinion and not have the gamma done at the hospital I would be. My tumor is very close to the optic nerve and one slight mistake could rob me of my sight and whatever else. ![]() I will keep in touch after my appt. I am just afraid that I will totally listen too easily and not be strong enough to say NO or whatever. I know noone can tell me what to do, but I never thought I would be dealing with this tumor thing after only four years. ![]() Take care all, Judy |
