Muscle Weakness

Minnie and PT, thank you very much for that info- there is definately something going on with my muscles & that info will help me better understand what may be going on. If there is myopathy, is there any treatment for it? I'm relatively healthy and strong, but when the muscle weakness hits, it saps my strength and energy and has become dissabling. If I could just over-ride this weakness, I'd be fine for the most part. I also have asthma, and when this muscle deal is active, it even affects my breathing at times- making it harder to breath and catch my breath- something is definately whacked somewhere along the line.
I'm not sure what my growth hormone levels are- it's only been a week since surgery- Have to weait another 5 weeks before my next iGF test..

The prednisone that I'm on does over-ride the muscle weakness at times. I can feel the muscles wanting to have that 'lactic acid-like'/weakness feeling, but it's like the prednisone is keeping it from setting in full effect.
