My pituitary does not function at all. Too damaged is how it was explained to me. If I do not take Cortisol replacement, I will die. Cannot live without Cortisol therefore it is replaced with Predisone or Hydrocortisone. The side effects are not pleasant but probably not as severe as you have described since it is for replacement only.
