I was on Bromocriptine for a year or so and throughout the whole time, I was very moody and would go off for nothing. Then fifteen minutes later I would be fine. Then I switched to Dostinex for about three to four years and I experienced a great deal of hair loss. Every time I combed my hair there would be a wad of hair in the brush. It also stopped growing however, my prolactin level was decreasing more than it did on the bromocriptine. In September my doctor switched me to Pergolide (permax) and I have been at the lowest level ever (29) from the original diagnose of 769. I have had no side effects with this medication so far and maybe this would be a good choice for you to talk to your doctor about. Sincerely, Nessa |
