Topamax for migraines?

Hi there.
I do not take topamax, but my 17 year old daughter does, for migraines. I feel like I might have a little insight since she does the migraine thing and I do the pituitary tumor thing LOL.
She is on 150 mg topamax per day....100 mg did help, but not enough. Her migraines are different from my tumor headaches in that she had the classic symptoms...severe nausea/vomiting, visual auras prior to onset of headache. Those are all classic symptoms. My tumor headaches were just severe headaches, although they were one sided, as migraines often are.
Topamax is not effective on all migraines, but was VERY effective for my daughter. None of the other traditional migraine "rescue" meds had worked (zomig, imitrex).
