I am now off the steroids, thank you very much! Also, I am on HGH....have been for almost five years, now, since my first surgery. I am now over two years post-op my second surgery and still on HGH. Just had a check-up at Vanderbilt last week and my HGH wasn't high enough to suit my doc so I've been increased to 1.0 from 0.8. I started at 0.4 and have been VERY gradually increased since then. I think it took me 4-6 weeks to really see a difference in the way I felt when I first started on the HGH. Now, it takes about a week when I have an increase to see a difference. I also had an adrenal adenoma and finally had it removed in Jan this year. I was told I would see a difference in about 6 months....yep, I can see a difference. I've lost over 20 pounds and was told last week that that tumor was secreting cortisol. Joy. I am now losing the weight again, but I have to go up on the HGH...small price to pay if I feel better (yep...I did say "small price" and I DO know it is definitely NOT a small price!) I did not handle stress very well....actually, I think "I" handled it better than my body did. But, we'll see what some life changes will do to help me feel and function better....I'll keep you posted. Charlie View other groups in this category.
