<Hello everyone...My daughter is now 16 and had her prolactinoma removed 3 years ago...Diagnosed at 11... I have been looking for someone with simular circustances...I am very worried and don't know what to expect now but here is what has happened...her pre-surgery prolactin @ 11ears old was 1498-for the next 2 years they watched for growth and watch her eyesight...medication never really took the level down....finally they did the surgery because the her perifial vision was deminishing... post was 50-all MRI's up til December 04 show no regrowth-all prolactin test slowly increased and stayed around 250ish...until now it is now at 730...No Menses either...she's on Dostinex, estrogen, and thyriod meds....I am very worried they cannot get the prolactin down at all!!...Now she has been so long with elevated levels...I am worried about her entire health and osteoparosis...She loves children and I worry for her she will never have children...She was diagnosed so young and she seems to handle it pretty good on the outside....but she internalizes problems...I did find one study about functioning and non functioning PLS adnomas in women who have high anexiety (the stressers)and those don't...the stressers had higher prolactin levels...Imagine That!..So I am thinking of taking her to a nutritionist and get her started on a healthly diet...and maybe even a Naturopathic doctor... She is now a little scared...and ready I think to at least eat stuff healthly for herself. I've heard somethings about Vitex and St. Johns Wort...but the medical doctors I have delt with do not support any natural medicines. If anyone knows anything
