Hi all,

I will write more later if anyone is intyerested, but wanted to touch base and thank all of you for your thoughts and prayers, it really carried me, and of course to Minnie for keeping you updated and me uplifted.

As you may know the surgeon felt the procedure went really well and my levels post surgery in the hospital were 'very good'. I know Dr. Ludlam stated that GH has a strong 'half-life' so I am assuming it is difficult to test at this stage and some symptoms may take a bit to subside- but even there I have had good luck.
as for recovery
I woke up with s lumbar drain- which ended up being precautionary more than anything else- and it came out the day after surgery.
I did have pain, but it was managed as well as it could- still- I envied those who seemed to sail through it and kinda kept wondering why I wasn't. I felt a bit wimpy I guess. I think we all have to remember just like there are som any variables to this disease so are the recoveries- I was bit too hard on myslef I think.
I had the stiffest neck (from positioning I assume) that that comprised a good deal of discomfort/headache. Strangely enough the nasal packing (tampons really) were not the worst- not that I wopuld sign on again for it have you.
Now for the good stuff. I feel better each day, but it did take this long- for me at least. Family and friends have noticed my body changes daily as I have regarding my face, hands, neck and feet. I really look forward to more of that.

Thanks again to all of you for your hlep, guidance and support- I don't want to think of how difficult this would have been without you all.
 lots of love

M
