Hi Chipper, Are you being treated for your secondary hypothyroidism? Have you had all your hormone levels tested? It is very important to find a doctor who is very thorough. What tests have you had done to check for Cushing's? I was recently diagnosed with osteomalacia, i.e., vitamin D deficiency which causes muscle and bone pain. I have very low vitamin D (secondary to hypercortisolism) now treated with 1200 IU/daily. Have they checked your vitamin D level? I often have pain in my back, legs, neck, etc. I have all the symptoms of hypothyroidism, but my levels are always low-normal. I have been denied treatment until my labs show low T4. I do not believe that the ranges apply to everyone. I have had hypothyroid symptoms for over five years. I also have low body temp (95.5-97.5), which some believe (Wilson's Thyroid Syndrome) can determine hypothyroidism. Are you cold intolerant? Well, I hope you find your answers soon. Keep researching and learning all you can! Take care. Happy Independence Day! Meri |
