Your thyroid meds shouldn't make you feel this way if it's the correct dose because thyroid tablets are so long acting you can skip a day and then take the correct dose to make up for it without any side effects. What about continuing to take a slightly higher dose of Cortef until you are completely well. You don't say if your blood pressure is OK. Can you check this? Also take some time to pamper yourself. Have a bubble bath, listen to some relaxation tapes, buy or borrrow a good new book, eat some chocolate(yes, it IS GOOD for you) go to bed before 10 pm. every night for proper sleep, watch a comedy channel and get some laughs.
Thanks Lena. I do take more than the usual dose of Cortef because of my weight. I take 40 mgs a day. Of course I feel so much better when I double it, but I can't keep that up. Wish I could. My blood pressure is ok, and my sugar is staying down pretty well. i'm trying to do more "me" things. I just haven't had the energy to do much. I'm sleeping a lot but that's not good. I'm saving all your suggestions, and I'm going to learn more about my meds. Be more informed. Thanks again.
