Hi, it's me again. I just got out of the hospital last week for the 4th surgery regarding my shunt problem. Two weeks ago I was home reading a book on my porch and after about an hour noticed
a large wet spot on my t-shirt over the scar on my abdomen. I had puss coming of the scar from the 3rd surgery. By morning it was a dimed sized abscess. The ER Dr. could see the shunt tubing through the hole. My Neuro operated on me a few hours later. He opened the wound about 11" and removed a lot of tissue & stapled me closed. I was home in 3 days. Once again the cultures came back sterile.
I'm now waiting for all my hospital records and will consult with another neuro.
