I never did the anti-d's. My endo wanted to put me on them at first, but I went to a neuropsychiatrist and asked him what was the difference between clinical depression and transient depression caused by messed up hormones?

What a trap I set for him eh? lol

He spent time with me and explained, and he also explained what clinical depression was, and why I didn't have it. I too had anxiety about my health, work, kids, etc... and I found his insight very valuable.

I guess where I am going with this is that I know you have tried many drugs, and you are concerned to try another because the drug effects have been very bad for you. I think if you have been treated by a general practioner, you need to see if you can consult with a mental health professional.

If it helps, hyperprolactinemia can be behind your mood swings and your anxiety. It is possible that as those levels normalize, that you begin to feel better. You have to work at it too though... eat right, get plenty of sleep, and get about 30 minutes of exercise each day. The exercise increases your endorphins, and will help you mentally balance out.

Anyone else with a prolactinoma and/or hyperprolactinemia have any words of wisdom here?

Take care DJS... we are thinking good thoughts for you.
