Well, the resultsof my MEN-1 test came back negative. I'm not sure whether that is good or bad. I still have acromegaly, elevated parathyroid hormone with osteopenia and episodes of severe hypoglycemia. This indicates multiple things not working which are consistent with MEN 1. According to the results there is a 15% false negative on this test which is not very reassuring. I see the neuroendocrinologist in a couple of weeks and will find out more then. In the meantime, the Sandostatin was cut from 20 mg to 10 mg because my hair is falling out and I and back to hot flashes / sweats / oily skin. Ain't life grand! |
