Hi Chris!

Wonderful news! I will be praying that his MRI results show no tumor remaining and that he will continue to recover well. Glad to hear that he is happy about starting college. It will be an exciting time for him. He just needs to take it easy. Is he taking a full load? I was down to half a load when I started getting sicker-he may want to start with just a couple classes. It is better to take 2-3 and be on top of them, than to take 6-7 and struggle with all of them. I learned that the hard way.

Oh, if you haven't done so already, you may want to inform the Health office at his college about his health conditions. His dorm resident should probably also know, jic of an emergency. I told my college about my daily migraines (which were debilitating at times) and pituitary problem and they issued me a handicapped parking pass and offered me any help that I may need. On the other hand, if he doesn't want his health record on his permanent college record (it probably will be), he may not want to inform the Health office. It hindered me when I was first looking for a job in law enforcement-but that is a physical job and most jobs would not be affected by a health history. It was also a positive choice because in my last year, I was very sick much of the time and my profs were much more willing to work with me when the health office informed them of my "disability." I would have failed both semesters, otherwise. It has pros and cons. It worked out best for me in the short and long run.

Take care. I will continue to pray for him and his complete recovery. I hope he has a great semester!

Meri
