I was a wreck before my trassphenoidal surgery but it turned oout to be piece of cake. I was in the hospital for 2 nights - some people stay only overnight but this facility did alot of hormone testing the day after surgery so keep you in for lovely things like 24 hour urine collection. I woke from surgery with NO pain. I must clarify that - I have fairly severe arthritis and somehow my left knee was twisted so I had left knee pain. I was very anxious about removal of the nose packing but it also was no big deal. Note that everything is very individual and varies with individual circumstances. The previous responder had trouble with the nose packing being removed but sounds like it was in for 5 days - mine was in for 1 day and I think that probably made a big difference. Hopefully, you are working with a good team and have as easy go of it as I did. Good luck! You are in my thoughts.
