Hello out there in endocrine-system-is-abnormal-Land. I was wondering if any of you reading this have had these side effects. My brief story: when trying to get pregnant, found out I had a tumor, and went on Dostinex for 3 months. Got Pregnant, and nursed daughter for 4 years (off meds the whole time). Now have been back on Dostinex for a year, and am experiencing dry mouth, joint pain in hips, and hot flashes in afternoon (face feels warm-but no dizziness). These symptoms seem worse since going on antibiotic (Cipro) for 1 week, for a suspected bladder infection. They have been going on since the beginning of June, and I have a prolactin level of about 36. My endo said as long as I'm having regular periods (I am), I can stay on same dose of 1/2 tab of the .5mg Dostinex twice weekly, she said I could up it, but I don't want the side effects to increase. Just wondering if anyone else has had similar symptoms, or if there is another pituitary board I could check. Thanks in advance, if you reply, and God Bless! |
