Hello Heather,
Sorry to hear about your son's health problems. Are you going to a well known pituitary center for the tests? Like everyone here always mentions it is always very good to go to those who are dealing with the pituitary disorders, tumors than a doctor who does not deal with a lot of similar like cases. We always suggest that we should strive for the most experienced who are highly regarded.
Yes, the test results usually do take time. We all realize it is difficult to have to wait for awhile to get more answers but many of us out here know it does take time. The doctors need to collect enough data to help determine the diagnosis. Some test results may show certain levels to be not normal, then others may contradict it. It is likely they are checking for several things and looking in several directions to make the right diagnosis.
Hang in there! Support here is really great! Believe me....these are some WONDERFUL people!
