The thing, is that the thyroid target levels can be really individualized. You may be one of those persons that does better when your results are mid-range, or middle range, upper quarter. Since you have pituitary disease and had pituitary surgery, the TSH is not the primary marker on what your body needs, because often, the feedback loop from the thyroid to the pituitary can be out of sync because of pituitary disease. Your doctor then will spend more time looking at your other thyroid labs. According to your labs, your T4 levels are fine, and could be argued, a little high on the t4 uptake, but since your Free Thyroid Index is a little low normal, that can explain why the T4 uptake is what it is. Your T3 conversion is middle of the road, so your body is converting T4 to T3. If you look at your TSH, your TSH is lower normal, and that says that the pituitary is NOT signalling the thyroid for more hormone. What I think is that your doctor will wait for your body to adjust fully to your current GH levels on humatrope, and retest. The tweaking is a tedious process. What you can do in the interim is exercise, eat right, and try to return as much as you can to a normal routine. Then when testing is done, your doctor will be able to see biochemically, how you are doing. Hope this helps. (If anyone else wants to jump in here.. pls do - ![]() ) Minnie |
