![]() Hi all, It has been awhile since my last posting. Things have gotten some better. This time I am posting to find out if anyone from this board has received the gamma knife treatment. I am seeing a neurosurgeon/radiologist on 9/21 in the morning to discuss having the procedure done, since my recent MRI did show tumor still there since my last surgery and it is enough to be seen on the MRI and also to consider the Gamma Knife. I was given a dvd several months ago when I saw the first radiologist before my surgery and it was really interesting to watch. My real question is, if you are to have the procedure, then you get a halo type thing put on and then have an MRI to measure and pinpoint the tumor to a computer that controls the gamma knife beams...What else for real can I expect?? I just had a recent MRI and don't want another...lol Thanks, Judy |
