Wow, you can call me if you want: 541-757-9663. I have talked in person to many pituitary patients since I had my surgery in 2000. Some tumors are very hard to get out. My tumor was. It was my opinion, and it has since been proven true, that Dr. Shahinian at the Skull Base Institute in Los Angeles, has a technique that may be the best the world at getting out these very difficult tumors. I have been clean for 5 years. You can read about his work on the net. It is a combination of his team, his talent, his method and most importantly, his vision. His vision is all about the patient. Every decision is in his patients best interest. My insurance did not cover, but I charged my surgery and figured that it was like buying a very expensive car that you could not drive. Once he was successful, however, my insurance did pay after I appealed 4 times. Dr. Shahinian uses a fully endoscopic method. I went to the movies the day after my surgery!!
