Oh Yes, The weight gain around the middle.I like to think I look like a Spider! Skinny legs and a buddah belly!
I have tried eatting low carbs. That does seem to help, excersise and mild starvation. This time of year I say "screw it" and I eat whatever moves!
It is very hard to lose weight, but staying on your meds does help.I am 42, and a chubbette as well from the prolactinoma. It sucks, just do the best you can.Good luck-Browndog

I'm 27 and was just diagnosed almost a year ago. I noticed that I also have this tire around the middle. I call it my personal floatation device in case I'm stranded in the ocean for a while. Is this something common when you have a prolactinoma? Will it go away when I get my prolactin levels under control?

I know what you mean... lol. For those with prolactinomas, what has your experience been with weight loss once your prolactin levels have normalized?

Yes, I know exactly what you mean. I've been a fairly petite woman most of my life, but my weight gain is primarily around the mid-section and I'm about 40 pounds overweight right now.

I've been off the medication for two years, but prolactin is creeping up again and the weight is coming back.

The medicine helps with that somewhat. I encourage you to give it another try... the side effects go away after a few months.

My Doctor recently recommended surgery for my 1.2 cm prolactinoma -- I'm hoping that the silver lining in this scenario is that my weight gain will go away, or at least stop growing??  If anyone can speak from experience, I'd love some encouraging news as I hate my body, but it just doesn't respond to exercize anymore...
