Recently, I've gotten some requests from new member(s) trying to recruit members to participate in surveys, research, etc. Although I value interest and even interest on a graduate level both for personal and professional, I don't support recruitment on a patient-to-patient support board. I encourage you to work with your local university hospital and clinics in your endeavors.

I suppose this is a good time to remind...

Members, please consider this if you do want to maintain your privacy.

Some collect e-mails addys for various purposes, including hacking and spamming, but you can increase your security. You can hide your e-mail addy in your My Member Profile under What's New - The little white box to the right.

Some of us like to stay available for e-mailing etc.. and that is great.

But... you may want to take the precaution to not post or reply to messages from your inbox. If you do decide to reply from your e-mail, make sure you have completely deleted the e-mail member's name you are replying to in the message text and in the header. This will help keep the other person's e-mail address secure.
If you are harrassed or stalked by someone, report them to MSN. Also, report them to the group's managers.
