Revisiting the weakness issue

I know that we went through a major discussion of this a few months back but I need to revisit this issue. Has anyone had problems with this and gotten better. I had my tumor removed last December and started noticing significant weakness last March. my IGF-1 levels have been high (in the 300s) the last couple of months but I am assuming they are now back to normal with an increase in my Sandostatin LAR (it was my bright (stupid) idea to decrease the sandostatin LAR dose as I was losing my hair). I am aso have high parathyroid values. I have been having increasing difficulty rising from chairs and on Christmas I was almost was unable to rise from a couch (after much struggling I got myself up on the arm then was able to rise after multiple attempts). I am no longer able to rise from a regular toilet or chair without armrests or a grab bar. In general, I think that the situation is getting worse. I have had nerve conduction velocities and EMG done without definitive finding though the MD wrote that the electrical output from my low back was similar to findings in someone with diabetes or other endrocrine problem. No neuropathy or myopathy was noted in my legs. I am followed at a pituitary center and have an appointment in January. Any ideas out there?
