Leslie,
I found out I had a tumor last Sept. However, I had not been feeling myself for quite a few years. I lost my period at 40 but since I never missed a gyno appt, didn't really think anything of it. Just figured this getting old thing sucked. Finally, my symptons got so bad that I actually blacked out at work once. When I got home, my husband suggested I'd call my MD again. Fortunately, his office's office was closed (he kept telling me my symptoms were probably caused by stress. It was crazy I used to write everything down or I'd forget and driving even seemed overwhelming), his emergency back up MD told me to go to the hospital immediately. And bingo....tumor! I'm only 46, I knew not everyone my age was experiencing the same thing.
Anyway, to answer your question, I have good days and bad. Never completely great but certainly much better with the effexor!!!! I'm not sure exactly what was making me sooo crazy, the dostinex or my tumor symptoms but I can honestly say that everything seems much better now. I still have alot of symptoms, dizzy, nausea, headaches, everything but at least w/o the craziness, it's all seems much more manageable. Weight well, in the last 5 years I've gained 35lbs. It's really tough to watch my diet when I'm always sooo sick. Bread seems to be the only safe bet.
