I was in the drs office for about 45 minutes. First they did a visual field test to see if my vision was ok.....I've been finding it hard to focus, & I have constant pressure behind the left eye, but the test came out ok.....then they did an eye test....and finally they took pics of my eyes and the nerves. Not painful at all.....in fact, he said at this time, there is no damage at all. He seemed more concerned about me hemorraging because the tumor is pressing on the optic nerve and he said that a fender bender while driving or a sudden jerk of my head could cause me to hemorrage and I would be blind in an instant. He was like, just get it out while it's still small enough and before it causes any damage. He said it would eventually have to come out, so better sooner than later. He also said it would relieve the pressure behind the eye. I don't know what other tests your dr. would do.....unless he's really busy and just prewarning you that you'll have to wait 6-8 hours for the whole exam. Good luck....let me know how you make out...
