![]() | | Hi, Last year I was diagnosed with a tiny pit tumor and growth hormone deficiency. (I retested six months later and it's the same size 2x4 mg).
I've had mood problems for a long time and believed an endocrine problem was the cause but my doctors didn't give me the right tests unti last year. I took growth hormone shots for a year, starting at a very small dose and going up very slowly. THEN, I started to feel "vibrations" like my body felt like a tuning fork. So, I stopped the GH, tried a couple of other meds in the interrim (topomax, strattera) and they, too, exacerbated the vibrations.
I restarted the growth hormone at .1 mg (the lowest dose possible) and the vibrations are back. I'm stuck. Docs have no answers nor the pharmacists I talked to, but the GH shots did give me energy, and improved my mood and concentration, but these vibrations are very disconcerting to say the least. I'm feeling bereft because after years of searching to find something to help, I'm having bad side effect. I feel as if someone threw me a life preserver but I can't grab ahold of it because it's electrified, if you get my drift.
Any replies greatly appreciated. Dot

![]() | | | Dot, I'm not sure about the vibrations you describe but your one of the first people I've read about taking GH while you still have your tumor, am I correct you still have your tumor? I've been trying to find someone who has taken it and had a tumor as my doctor wants to put me on GH but I was concerned about tumor growth, it does sound like it had some positive things that helped you, except for the vibrations. Please keep us posted on how your doing and best wishes to you! Paula | | New post from the Pituitary Tumor board to this topic - 2-20-06 Message Board: Hypopituitary Subject: AGHD and pit tumor |
