Board Transfer of a new post from Pituitary Tumor From: ![MSN Nickname]() Ctgrl6 (Original Message) | Sent: 2/21/2006 6:36 PM | Hello all ![]() I had my surgery in late June 2005, I am now 12 weeks pregnant. My gynocologist told me there is a good chance that the tumor might regrow, he also said it is difficult to know if it does grow again because all the symptoms of the tumor are the same as things women experience during pregnancy. The tumor I had was non- functioning with stalk effect, so I am not sure if that means that there is a smaller chance of regrowth. Recently I started to get headaches again, today it was so bad I had to take fioricet for it. I am trying to stay positive but deep inside I am scared, because I don't know what to expect. If anyone has any stories to tell about the experience of pregnancy and any precausions that need to be taken during labor can you please share with me. I sometimes feel like the doctors don't really know about all the problems we go through, because when I told my neurosurgeon about all the symptoms I had before the surgery, he dismissed most of them telling me that pituitary wouldn't cause them. I told him that he should really read up on some of the posts, because it is impossible for all of us to experience the same symptoms and for them not to be caused by the tumor. So any comments would be greatly appriciated. Thank you all God Bless | |
