I have had my tumor for 6 years and have similar flare ups. I am now 21 and am finally getting to the point where I realize that my primary care doc hasnt got a clue. Since the tumor was found I have gained close to 80 lbs. I also get the blurred vision, headaches, and blurred vision, although I have not fainted in years. I have the opposite problem with my periods, I will be on for a week off for 2 days on for a week off for 2 days - well you get the picture. I just had my visual field done yesterday and am really mad that just because my parnets didnt want to deal with my tumors my docs didnt really look into it or inform me about what it could be doing to me. So sometimes I dont know whether something is really wrong or if my tumors are just having a fit- Went to the doc last month for water retension and was told not to eat salt. I DONT EVEN EAT SALT. So I looked to see what was causing it, imagine this, my tumors, and not only that they have raised my optic nerve, and I am having vision problems. The best way to get into am endo fast- in my experience is to befriend someone in the medical field. (I know how sad that is but its true). I recently changed jobs to work at a medical facility, even though none of the docs here know anything about my tumors they have put up a few red flags and are cutting the red tape to get me where I need to be. Hope this is helpful. Ashley |
