Dear Scotty:

I am not sure that I am much help but I will take a stab at this one. I am not on disability and have only worked from home or on-call when I can choice my own hours, however, that luxury maybe ending soon. There was a time when I was so light headed that I could not drive or function not to mention other symptoms but that was the biggest one that led to my husband having to take family medical leave to help cart our son around. As soon as he returned to work they found every reason to fire him even though he went through the proper channels. I hear this is common. What I ended up doing was a process of elimination on the med's. Slowly coming off the ones I could and staying on the ones that I could not come off of. Also, relaxation techniques. The more stressed one is about the symptoms the more foggy headed you become plus you begin to expect them and tend to get down on yourself. Sometimes little reminders like post its and schedules can help one to remember. It sounds silly but it works for people who are not ill too-:)

I think disability really depends on the doctor. He might feel better about what he is going through if he were able to work from home or take contract positions where he would do some work from home in his field.

I hope this is a little help to you.

Wishing you the very best.

Take care,
Tina
