There is a connection between pituitary tumors and emotional issues - esp. with Cushing's. Even if there is a physiologic basis for the problem, it is helpful to see a trained professional such as a psychiatrist or pyschologist. Medication may be helpful in getting your biochemist back in balance. In addition, stress and anger management classes may be useful. I started having problems with anxiety prior to my diagnosis. After my surgery I needed to take a medication that required daily injections. I though I would die before giving myself a shot. I found help at a pychology practice specializing in the treatment of anxiety disorders. It really worked! I'm still not thrilled with giving myself daily injections but I am able to do it. I even managed a cortisone injection yesterday without excess anxiety issues.
Good luck. PT
