Yes, too much DHEA can kill a person.  So can too much water.  It needs to be emphasized by us pituitary patients that replacements of hormones to NORMAL levels is NOT the same as an overdose.
 
Since my pit tumor has been a grower, and curoiusly enough, I have a  history of  skin tumors growing and regrowing on my body, I asked my ENDO to do a DHEA reading on me.  My DHEA reading is barely on the chart, it is that low.  I read in Dr.Pericone's book that DHEA at normal levels induces an anti-tumor factor.  IF that is the case, it not unreasonable to conclude a person with abnormally low DHEA  would be low in this anti-tumor factor and thus be prone to being a tumor host.  My endo suggested that I take a 5 unit supplement of DHEA daily.
